Think, create and bring forth a new idea, a concept that would redefine business in YOUR sense.
Yes, this is what SRIJAN offers you. A stage to put your ideas to test, and prove them a cut
above the rest. SRIJAN is a unique attempt to stimulate and encourage the finest brains in the
field towards entrepreneurship.


Identify and select business opportunities and prepare plans for implementation keeping in mind
the following parameters:
• Your idea and value proposition.
• Technical feasibility of the project.
• Competitor analysis.
• Financial viability of the project – projected financial statements for at least three years.
• Market Feasibility - The market potential, demand-supply assessment and proposed
marketing strategy.
• Risk involved and the means to mitigate the risk.
• Implementation plan that translates the idea to an actionable venture.

Stage 1:
Teams need to send in a write up containing the basic idea and the kind of business they are
looking into. It may include any other information which they may feel relevant.
The optimum size of this write up should be 2-3 pages. The write up will be evaluated on the
basis of
• Business idea
• Target need satisfied


Stage 2:
Teams selected on the basis of the above write up will have to send their detailed Business Plan.
Also they will be invited to come to the campus and present their business plan. Teams will also
be evaluated on the following parameters:
• Innovativeness
• Technical and market feasibility
• Risk involved
• Financial feasibility
• Quality of presentation and reporting.

General Guidelines:
• Entries are invited from both individuals and teams. The team size is restricted to
maximum of 3 members.
• Entries are open for any industry or sector.

The preliminary entries will consist of executive summary. Soft copies need to be mailed by
3rd January, 2009 in PDF format at srijan.perspective@gmail.com. The file name and the
subject should be (Team Name_srijan_08.pdf)
• The list of short-listed entries will be informed individually through email.
• Team Perspective assures that the B-Plan will be shared only with the Jury panel of
the contest at various levels.
Format for B-Plan:
• Font Size: 12
• Font Type: Times New Roman
• Line Spacing: 1.5
The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all the participants.


Important dates:
Submission of write-up for screening: January10, 2009
Intimation to shortlisted participants: January 15, 2009
Presentation at IMNU: January 27, 2009
